Yoga for Endurance & Strength

Hatha Yoga

Hatha is a Sanskrit word that can be broken down into two smaller words: ha, meaning “sun,” and tha, meaning “moon.” Hatha yoga is one of the oldest forms of yoga. It is a practice that is known to be 5000 years old.

A Hatha Yoga class focuses on alignment and breath whilst entering, holding, and leaving the posture.

Regular, continual practice of Hatha Yoga improves flexibility, strength, and balance. It also helps to lower stress levels and promotes relaxation. It eliminates over-thinking and helps promote positive self-awareness.

Vinayasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a format of yoga with choreographed, flowing postures. The poses in vinyasa are fluid and is designed to connect you between the breath and movement. Vinyasa yoga ensures that you coordinate your movement with conscious breathing as you change from one posture to another.

Vinyasa has many physical benefits such as improved flexibility, balance and strength. Vinyasa yoga is a great cardio workout as it increases the heart rate, effectively increasing endurance and stamina. A Vinyasa Yoga class is fantastic for improving your general state of wellbeing.

Power Flow

Our Power Flow class is a vigorous, fitness-based approach to yoga. A Power Flow class incorporates the athleticism of Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga, in a very dynamic fashion, so that each class will never be the same.

This class is a favourite of many as it is known to enhance stamina, strength, flexibility, posture and mental focus. It also relieves muscle tension and releases toxins through sweat. Because it is rigorous, it’s a great calorie-burning workout too!

Dharma Yoga

Dharma Yoga is a heart-centered journey rooted in classical yoga traditions. This holistic practice combines elements of Hatha, Raja, and Kundalini Yoga, offering physical strength and mental tranquility. Tailored for all, it enhances flexibility and balance, while pranayama techniques sharpen focus. Experience devotion through chants, nurturing connection with the self and cosmos. Regular practice fosters well-being, clarity, compassion, and discipline. Ideal for anyone craving a blend of physical challenge and spiritual depth.

Yoga for Relaxation & Peace Of Mind

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a quiet contemplative and relaxing practice. Yin yoga works gently and deeply into our body with longer held poses. It targets our deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues — ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body — rather than the muscles.

Yin Yoga increases circulation in the joints and improves flexibility as the poses stretch and exercise the bone and joint areas.

Yoga Nidra

Experience Yoga Nidra, the profound meditative practice also known as 'yogic sleep'. Our Yoga Nidra class ushers you into a state of conscious relaxation that bridges the gap between wakefulness and sleep. Guided by a calming narrative, you'll explore different layers of your consciousness, releasing tension and stress. Unleash the healing power of Yoga Nidra and find tranquility amidst your busy life. Ideal for those seeking deep relaxation and mind-body healing.

Candlelight Yin

Candlelight Yin is a quiet contemplative and relaxing practice. This is a restorative practice which works gently and deeply into our body with longer held poses. It targets our deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues — ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks of the body — rather than the muscles.

This class takes place in a ambient candlelit environment for total relaxation.

Self-Care Thursday

Embrace the idea that "Thursday is the new Friday." Our Self-Care Thursday class provides a 60-minute fusion of yin and restorative yoga. Begin with meditation and breathwork, transitioning into deep-stretch yin postures. Conclude with the profound calm of restorative yoga, a practice that rejuvenates energy and harmonizes the mind, body, and spirit. By class end, you'll feel grounded, relaxed, and wholly refreshed.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga invites us to slow down and foster a profound sense of balance. Stuck in a 'fight or flight' mode due to modern lifestyles, this practice guides us back into a 'rest and digest' state.

Using props such as bolsters and blankets, you're led into deep relaxation and restoration, shedding tension and quieting the mind. Experience tranquility and renewal with restorative yoga.

Nurturing Flow

In Nurturing Flow, you will start with gentle guidance into a meditation or breathwork in a candlelit room. This is to melt away stress and anxiety before heading into a soothing flow style class. Weaving from one pose to another at a slow pace in order to connect breath and movement with ease. We then finish with a restorative pose before Savasana to help heal and restore balance and energy into the mind and body. Please bring your own bolster and blocks if you have them.

Meditation & Pranayama

Meditation & Pranayama is a serene and transformative experience. This weekly class dives into the heart of inner peace and breath mastery. Through meditation, students are guided towards a still, quiet place within. Pranayama, on the other hand, emphasizes conscious breathing techniques that rejuvenate and balance. It targets both our mind and body, offering a refreshing escape from daily hustle. Held in a supportive environment, this class is a journey towards self-discovery and holistic well-being.

Restorative Yoga

In Restorative Yoga, we begin in a serene setting, subtly lit to promote inner calm. Gentle guidance leads you into a grounding meditation, preparing the body and mind to release daily tensions. Using props like bolsters and blankets, you'll transition into deeply restful poses, held to encourage full relaxation. The session progresses with deliberate ease, each pose seamlessly flowing into the next. Concluding with a rejuvenating pose before Savasana, we aim to restore harmony and vitality to both mind and body. Kindly bring your own bolster and blocks if available.

Yoga for a Calm Mind & a Strong Body

Happy Hips

Happy Hips is a strengthening, opening and soothing Yang-Yin based practice with focus on balancing, opening and strengthening the hips and pelvis.

In this Yang-Ying style of class, the first 30 minutes of the class will focus on gently strengthening your hip region with a soothing Hatha flow followed by 30 minutes of a slow, calming, relaxing and restorative hip opening session.

Creating balance in our hips leads to balance for our mind and body. This class is suitable for all levels and for anyone who wants to open and strengthen their hips.

Functional Core

A strong core is the building block for proper support for our pelvis and spine. Poor core strength can lead to many back, pelvis and hip problems, so it's so important for everyone to strengthen our core muscles to function well.

In this Functional Core class, specific poses and sequences are designed to help you access your core, benefiting your alignment and stability as well as connecting the mind and body.

Functional Core is a dynamic class and bring benefits of stronger, more flexibility, increased focus, confidence and self-awareness. With a strong core you improve almost every yoga pose and the whole practice of yoga becomes much easier and safer.

Yin-Yang

Yin Yoga is a slower practice where poses are passively held for longer, working on the deep, dense (Yin) connective tissues and joints in the body. Yang Yoga, in contrast, refers to a more active practice working on the (Yang) muscles and blood flow, building strength, stamina and flexibility. Yang styles of yoga are those with rhythm and repetition like Vinyasa Flow.

Combining both Yin and Yang elements in one class provides a balanced practice and can have a positive effect on improving energy levels. A yin-Yang Yoga class has many benefits, including calming and balancing the mind and body, reduces stress and anxiety, and more.

Soothing Flow

Soothing Flow is a slow paced, simpler flow class with the intention to open your body, release stress, and explore movement throughout your body. It is a beautiful mellow blend of gentle asanas that will strengthen and tone the body, as well as calm the mind. This class is the perfect place where the body can enjoy a deep release and physical rejuvenation. This class is suitable for all levels of abilities.
