FAQ

Are your classes "hot" yoga?

Our classes are heated through infrared heat, however we are not a “hot” yoga studio. The warmth in our studio environment is comfortably and mildly warm, just 1 - 2°C above room temperature. Most people find our warm heat very comfortable and don’t even notice it at first! You can read more about our infrared heated studio room here.

What are the benefits of practicing in a comfortably warm room?

Practicing in a comfortably warm room can enhance your yoga practice and provide a numerous benefits, including; reduction of stress & tension, improved flexibility, and enjoy a deeper yet safer yoga practice whilst reducing any risk for injury. You can read more about the benefits of practicing yoga with infrared heat here.

Will I sweat?

You won’t sweat because of the infrared heat in the studio room. If you opt for a low intensity, restorative class, such as Yin, Yin Yang, Candlelight Yoga or Rest + Restore, it’s highly unlikely you will be sweating in the class. If you opt for a high intensity, powerful class, such as Power Flow, Hatha, Vinyasa or Soothing Flow, you may break a sweat - not because of the heat, but because of the effort you are putting into your practice. We recommend that new yogis gently ease themselves into their regular yoga practice and take breaks whenever they feel their body needs it. You can read more about our infrared heat here.
